TO DR. TEDROS ADHANOM, Director-General of the World Health Organization:
The only solution to this pandemic is a vaccine. But who will get it first?! There won’t be enough vaccines for every country nor everyone in the short term.
Doctors, nurses, and supporting healthcare staff around the world have been our first line of defense against COVID-19, while being the ones most at risk. They need to get priority access to a COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of their nationality.
This would help safeguard entire healthcare systems across the world.
We, people of the world, demand that the WHO ensures that health workers across the globe receive vaccines first.
